How to determine whether the gap between the pressing wheels of the wood pellet machine is adjusted
Adjusting the roller gap correctly is one of the most critical operations for operating a wood pellet machine. The overall performance, service life and production stability of a wood pellet machine largely depend on whether its roller gap is set in a reasonable range. Many operators do not know how to tell if the roller gap of the wood pellet machine is adjusted properly, which often leads to low output, poor pellet quality and serious wear of the wood pellet machine. There are several practical and intuitive methods to judge the roller gap condition of the wood pellet machine. First, watch the material extrusion and discharging effect of the wood pellet machine. When the roller gap of the wood pellet machine is too wide, the pressing force between the roller and die becomes insufficient. The raw material inside the wood pellet machine cannot be compacted tightly, so the finished pellets are loose, easy to break, poor in molding degree, and the production capacity of the wood pellet machine will decrease significantly. On the contrary, if the roller gap of the wood pellet machine is too narrow, the extrusion resistance will increase sharply. The wood pellet machine will face overloading, frequent machine blockage, strong vibration and harsh running noise. Long-term operation in this state will greatly shorten the service life of the die and pressure roller of the wood pellet machine, and even burn out the supporting motor. Second, monitor the operating current and running stability of the wood pellet machine. A well-adjusted wood pellet machine runs steadily with stable current value, no sudden jump or overload alarm. If you find the current of the wood pellet machine fluctuates up and down frequently, the motor gets hot easily, and the whole machine shakes violently during operation, it is a clear
sign that the roller gap of the wood pellet machine is not adjusted properly. Third, check the surface quality and compactness of final pellets produced by the wood pellet machine. When the roller gap of the wood pellet machine is in the best state, the wood pellets come out smoothly, with uniform thickness, compact texture, smooth surface and no obvious cracks. If the pellets are rough on the surface, cracked easily, uneven in length and density, it fully proves that the roller gap of the wood pellet machine is not matched well, and it is necessary to stop the machine to readjust the gap. In daily production, regularly checking and fine-tuning the roller gap of the wood pellet machine can not only ensure stable output and good pellet quality, but also reduce failure rate and maintenance cost of the wood pellet machine, making the whole production line run more efficiently for a long time.
